What Is a Laser Land Leveler?
A laser land leveler is a tractor-pulled scraper guided by a laser beam. It cuts soil from high spots and drops it into low spots until the whole field sits at one exact level or one planned slope. In Pakistan it is also commonly called a laser leveler machine, laser land leveling machine or simply lazer machine.
Unlike a traditional karaha, where the operator judges the ground by eye, a laser leveler measures height continuously and adjusts the blade automatically. The result is a field that is flat to within a few millimetres across hundreds of metres.
Laser land levelers are used across Punjab and Sindh for wheat, rice, sugarcane, cotton and maize, and by contractors for roads, housing schemes, drains and sports grounds.
